| Colour, textiles, distressed patterns and shapes are what excites me and my paintings are contemporary interpretations of the landscape and coastline surrounding my recent move to Kirkcudbright, as well as my journeys in Europe and Morocco. Images and sketchbooks emerge as I search for information/ideas that will remind me of something more than a representational inspiration. I work in acrylics and mixed media, with textured surfaces and strong colours to achieve the effect I seek. |
